A consequence of having a statewide network of dedicated co-workers is that occasionally our own find themselves in harm’s way. This has certainly been the case for some of us lately. We are most thankful that none of our colleagues lost their lives in recent storms, but it is also true that a number have suffered losses to their homes and property.

In response to requests from a number of you, we are establishing a fund that is designed to help members of the Extension family who are victims of the recent hurricanes. We are calling this the “AgriLife Extension Employee Help Fund”.

Distribution will be made from the fund by a committee on a case-by-case basis. All monies collected will be given to those in need.

For more information, please contact Texas AgriLife Extension Conference Services at 979-845-2604.
