Since Texans are continuously faced with the possibility of various disasters and emergencies, Texas AgriLife Extension Service has designated emergency management as a base program. Local extension agents throughout the state provide educational information on mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery so that local communities and families will be better able to deal with emergencies. To support this effort, AgriLife Extension Specialists have developed incident specific disaster information and educational resources. As new needs are identified, new fact sheets and resources will be made available.
